Why book an Engagement Photoshoot?

Engagement Photographs are a timeless collection of images that represent the beginning of a commitment to one another and freeze that point in time where it’s just about you two. Absolutely no one else and certainly not 101 Wedding guests saying ‘hey’! Engagement Photoshoots also offer a unique opportunity to get comfortable with your Wedding Photographer ahead of the big day.

A quick intro for anyone that hasn’t seen my work before or visited my little corner of the internet before, I’m Emma, a Norfolk & Suffolk Wedding Photographer bringing your Wedding day to life for the years to come! I specialise in getting to know my Bride and Groom’s and making them feel as comfortable and at home, in front of my camera on their big day, because I truly believe that is the best way to get the most natural images that visualise the pure happiness and atmosphere of your Wedding day.

Okay, that’s the boring bit done…

So, in my opinion, Engagement Photoshoots should reflect your relationship and the location you choose should be quite personal to you both. BUT, why not make it even more personal? Invite the furry best friend too…

Meet Cody the Cockapoo, who is absolutely loved beyond words by fur parents Charlotte & Nikos!

Below I’ve put together a list of all the different ways you can use your Engagement Photographs and I hope it gives you some inspiration and excitement!:

  1. Use them on your Wedding Invites or Save the Dates

  2. Your Wedding Website

  3. Social Media post to announce the Engagement… If you can wait that long ;)

  4. Signing board on your Wedding day! Print your favourite photo and get it mounted on a good 4/5 inch mount board all around and get your Wedding guests to sign it on your day. (Great alternative to the classic ‘signing book’)

  5. Printed around your home! Personally, I love a frame collage on the wall

  6. Wedding favours and keepsakes

  7. Christmas presents… No joke, my Nanny would be OVER THE MOON if I did this for her!

Well I hope I gave you a few ideas there and I hope that you do choose to go ahead with an Engagement Photoshoot if you’re teetering on the decision. You want to be as relaxed as possible on your Wedding Day and having a Photoshoot beforehand and getting to know your Wedding Photographer and how they work, will be an easy way to relax in the knowledge that they’ve got this covered and you know some of what to expect ;)
